Ophthalmologist
Dr. Sara Bijan received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Florida, graduating summa cum laude and as a member of the competitive Honors College. She earned her medical degree at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine internship, ophthalmology residency, and cornea fellowship at the University of South Florida. Dr. Bijan is an expert in the diagnosis and management of cornea and external diseases, including Keratoconus, Fuchs’ Dystrophy, dry eye disease, and infectious diseases of the cornea. She employs the latest techniques to restore vision to her patients, including corneal transplantation (DMEK, DSAEK, and PKP), corneal crosslinking, pterygium removal, and amniotic membrane transplantation. Dr. Bijan is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and Women in Ophthalmology.
